Removing the boot privacy panel
The boot privacy panel can be removed for easier access between the rear seats and the boot space.
The boot privacy panel is useful when storing items in the boot. It blocks the view of the boot interior and is useful when large objects are stored there.
You might want to remove the privacy panel to get to objects in the boot more easily from the passenger compartment.

There is a set of two metal pins that fit into two rubber slots on each side of the privacy panel. If you remove the top two pins from their slots, you can open and close the panel like a flap.

Tip
You can store the panel under the cargo hatch.
Removing the privacy panel
Pull the handle in the middle of the back edge of the panel until the top two pins are free from the slots.
Grasp the panel on both sides and pull it towards you so that the pins slide free from the rubber slots.
Carefully lift the panel towards you until it is completely removed from the boot.
Store the removed panel somewhere it won't get damaged or be in the way for other people.
Opening and closing
If you want to simply open the panel, pull the handle in the centre. Use your other hand to keep the lower part of the panel in place so that it hangs from the two lower pins.
