Touch-sensitive buttons

Steering wheel touch buttons

On each side of the steering wheel, closest to the centre of the wheel, there are three specific buttons. These are touch button zones that correspond to certain actions when they are available.

Inner buttons on the left side:
Resume your most recently used driver support feature
Activate Pilot Assist
Cancel the active driver support feature
Inner buttons on the right side:
Activate the speech assistant
Switch between driver display modes
Access the driver display menu

Touch-sensitive navigation pads

Steering wheel navigation pads

In addition to the inner buttons, your steering wheel has a contextual navigation pad on each side. They are the outer-most touch button zones. The buttons on the left side of the steering wheel typically control more driving-related features. The buttons on the right side usually control media and menu navigation. Their functions change depending on the context and often correspond to what's currently shown in the displays.

Interacting with the touch-sensitive buttons

You can find the touch button zone you're looking for by moving your finger across the buttons. The displays react and show what the button's assigned behaviour or action is. When the function you want is indicated, press the button.
