Using the rear-view mirror
Physically move the rear-view mirror to suit your driving posture. Doing so does not adjust the camera.
Lighting conditions, such as strong sunlight, may require you to adjust the brightness level on the camera display mode. You should also adjust both the mirror itself and the camera before driving to ensure that you have good visibility of what's behind you.
Available display settings
All controls for the camera display mode are located on the mirror. You can adjust the brightness, change the camera height and set the camera to tilt downwards when reversing.
Switch and buttons

- 1Mode control switch. Toggle between camera display mode and mirror mode by flicking the switch. Push it away from you to enter mirror mode. Pull the switch towards you to enter camera display mode.
- 2Navigation buttons. Use the three control buttons on the right underside to navigate through the controls and adjustments menu.

Using direction indicators
Turning on a direction indicator automatically adjusts the camera view to the corresponding side. This allows the camera display to give you better visibility behind the car and helps to reduce blind spots.
System faults
System faults can include problems with the rear-view mirror's display or the associated rear-view camera. If a problem is detected with the system, this is indicated in the rear-view mirror display with a fault symbol . This symbol also indicates that the rear-view camera is disabled, which means that you will not be able to use the camera display mode.
You can reset the system by pressing and holding the settings button for approximately 10 seconds or by flicking the mode control switch back and forth until the camera display mode resets. If the reset does not work, or if the problem persists, contact Polestar Customer Support for advice on repairs or replacement.
