Road toll transponders

Road toll transponders are used in payment systems for road tolls. When the car passes a toll station, the transponder receives a signal and sends back an identification number to the toll station.

Place your road toll transponder on the inside of the IR1 windscreen on any of the marked areas.

 Note

Do not place the road toll transponder outside of any marked area. If you place the transponder outside of a designated area, the IR windscreen will block the signal from the road toll transponder and it will not work.

There are three places you can put your road toll transponder:

  1. to the right of the overhead console
  2. at the bottom of the windscreen, to the left of the middle
  3. at the bottom of the windscreen, to the right of the middle.

 Note

  • It's the driver's responsibility to make sure that the road toll transponders work and that they are placed and used in the correct way. Polestar does not take responsibility for faulty or non-reader transponders.
  • Do not attach metal film or other metal objects to the windscreen in front of the transponder as this may have a negative effect on the signal quality.
  • Polestar is not responsible for the information collected through the toll responders. This also includes how this information is stored and used.
