Connecting the Polestar 1 app to the car
To use the services offered by the Polestar 1 app, the app first has to be connected to the car.
The following procedure must be executed in the car.
Make sure your car is in an area with mobile coverage and that your mobile device has an Internet connection.
Note
Make sure that Car Modem Internet is not selected as the Internet source in the car. If this is selected, step 5 cannot be completed, and then the app cannot be connected to the car.
Have the four-digit PIN code for the Polestar 1 app, the Polestar ID and the car's identification number or registration number to hand. A Polestar ID can be created by logging in to the Polestar 1 app.
Sit in the driver's seat with your mobile phone, then switch on the car's ignition. Do not start the car's engine.
Log in to the Polestar 1 app with your Polestar ID, then follow the instructions in the app.
When the message to prompt tapping on the ON CALL button is shown in the Polestar 1 app, wait a few seconds before tapping on the button in order to ensure that the car is in verification mode.
Confirm the connection between the app and the car with one quick press on the ON CALL button in the roof of your car (do not hold down the button).
You can now start using the app services.
