Polestar 3: The SUV for the electric age tours America

The automotive world is transitioning to EVs, but one major segment hasn’t been properly addressed – the electric SUV for America. Enter Polestar 3, which has now embarked on an introductory tour across America.

Polestar 3 in a concrete environment

The United States is the largest single market for many automakers, and this is no different for Polestar. Across the automotive industry “Going electric” is currently all the rage, but Americans have yet to experience an SUV that meets their needs without requiring a visit to the gas station.

We have the answer – Polestar 3, where luxury meets performance in an all-electric, sustainable, high-tech package. Going one step further, Polestar 3 will be our first vehicle to be built in the United States. An American-made electric SUV for our largest market.

Polestar 3 sets a new precedent for premium features, which were showcased during its U.S. debut in New York City on March 28. Now, our highly anticipated performance SUV embarks on a nationwide tour to give customers across the country an opportunity to experience it first-hand.

“SUVs are the largest segment in the United States, so to have an SUV in our lineup, especially one that’s built in America, is a historic occasion for us,” says Greg Hembrough, Head of Polestar Automotive USA. “By sending the Polestar 3 on tour, we are able to give customers a good look at the vehicle ahead of it going into production.”

The Polestar retail network has grown exponentially and will continue to do so throughout 2023. By the end of this year, there will be approximately 40 Spaces in the U.S., which will cater to 77% of the addressable EV market. It is these avant-garde showrooms that the Polestar 3 will be visiting, beginning with Polestar Portland on Thursday, April 20. Not only will customers have the opportunity to interact with the vehicle, but they can connect with product experts to learn more about Polestar and our range of cars.

Polestar 3 features an EPA estimated 300-mile range and some of the most advanced technology ever applied to a production vehicle. This includes Google’s revolutionary in-car infotainment system that integrates Google Home, Google Assistant and Google Maps, and a premium Dolby ATMOS sound experience with 25 Bowers & Wilkins speakers. Additionally, Polestar 3 will be the first vehicle delivered with LiDAR from Luminar to support numerous advanced safety features while preparing the vehicle for future autonomous driving capabilities.

Not only a technological marvel, Polestar 3 is also an example of our commitment to performance, featuring 517 hp and 671 lb-ft. of torque. The optional Performance Pack includes performance optimization of the air suspension, unique 22-inch forged alloy wheels, and Pirelli P-Zero tires for enhanced grip, along with our signature ‘Swedish gold’ details.

When producing our first SUV, our designers made a point to leverage sustainable materials without sacrificing the aesthetics and luxury tactility that customers have come to expect in a premium SUV. These materials include bio-attributed MicroTech upholstery and a fully traceable wool upholstery. Throughout Polestar 3 tour, customers will be invited into the vehicle to experience our version of sustainable luxury.

The tour schedule is included below for customers interested in exploring our new electric SUV.

  • April 28-30: Bellevue, Washington
