Google built-in

The infotainment system in Polestar 3 is powered by Androidᵀᴹ Automotive OS and features a Polestar-developed interface. With Google¹ apps and services built-in, it connects the car, the driver, and their entire digital ecosystem.

Google Maps

With functionalities like battery minded route planning, live updates, and route-to-car, Google Maps makes driving easier in every way.

Google Assistant

Polestar 3 comes equipped with the voice recognition capabilities of Google Assistant. Simple voice commands can adjust the music, climate settings, and other functions, allowing drivers to maintain a steady hand on the wheel and keep their eyes on the road.

Google Home integration

Communicate with any compatible Google Home device via voice commands. Because turning on the kitchen lights from the driveway is the new way to say "I’m home".

Google Play Store

The infotainment system runs many familiar apps optimised for the in-car experience. Some have been redeveloped to interact with the car’s systems for an even more enhanced driving experience. Updates and new apps can be downloaded on Google Play via the centre display.

Bowers & Wilkins for Polestar

With 1,610 watts of power, 25 speakers, 3D Surround Sound, and Dolby Atmos, the bespoke Bowers & Wilkins audio system delivers a unique, immersive listening experience that stays true to the original recording.

Dolby Atmos

Dolby Atmos produces spatial audio, creating sound in 360 degrees around the listener. Each voice, tone, and instrument is placed precisely in the Polestar 3 cabin, revealing unmatched depth, clarity, and details.

Active road noise cancellation

Bundled with the Bowers & Wilkins audio system, Active road noise cancellation keeps out excessive wind, tyre, and road noise without blocking important sounds like sirens and car horns.

Headrest speakers

Each front seat headrest is fitted with two 40 mm full-range speakers, enriching the spatial audio perception.

Android Automotive OS

Powered by Android Automotive OS¹ and presented with a Polestar-developed interface, Polestar 3’s infotainment system is as intuitive to use as the car is to drive.

Over-the-air updates

Polestar 3 gets better with time, receiving regular over-the-air updates for the infotainment system, apps, and car systems. New software releases upgrade the car’s features and performance without having to visit a workshop.

Smartphone connectivity

Apple CarPlay¹ and Android Auto¹ combine connectivity and flexibility, allowing drivers to connect their smartphone device to Polestar 3 for a more personalised infotainment experience.

Apple CarPlay

Polestar 3 comes with wireless Apple CarPlay¹, allowing a compatible iPhone to be connected via Bluetooth and controlled using the car’s centre display or voice commands. Listen to music, make phone calls, get driving instructions, or use Siri¹, all while remaining focussed on the road.

Android Auto

With Android Auto, drivers can connect an Android device to Polestar 3 via Bluetooth. Compatible apps become accessible via the centre display, and Google Assistant makes answering calls and queuing music entirely hands-free via voice commands.

Available later in 2025.

Polestar app

With the Polestar app, Polestar drivers can interact with their vehicle straight from their mobile device. A few taps is all it takes to set climate timers, check the battery status, and lock and unlock Polestar 3.

Digital Key

Users of Apple or Google and Samsung devices can sync the digital key to their device’s wallet to lock, unlock, and start Polestar 3. The main driver can share and manage secure copies of the key, which connect with the car’s profile memory to store the preferred settings for up to six drivers.

Driver profiles

Polestar 3 can store and remember the preferred settings for up to six drivers. The car recognises who’s approaching it and instantly loads the relevant seat and mirror positions, steering feel, and one pedal drive settings. It will also cue up favourite apps and playlists.
