Design brief
2022
Pure, progressive performance.
The brief was to design a Polestar that is about the experience of performance, and the advanced technical story that enables this in a sustainable way. In other words, a new form of performance. One for the electric age.
Congratulations to the winners.
This year’s contest had three winners. Two for exterior design, and one for interior design, along with an honourable mention. The exterior and interior design winners had their designs merged into one with the help of the Polestar Design team, creating the vehicle known as Polestar Synergy. This design was realised in 1:1 scale and revealed at Polestar Munich during an exclusive event, the winners attending as guests of honour.

The jury
The second iteration of the Polestar Design Contest featured the same creativity, enthusiasm, and innovation that defined the first contest. From treehouses to trambuses, VTOL craft to virtual vehicles, the field was crowded and the competition fierce.
