Installing child restraints

When installing and using a child restraint, there are several things to keep in mind, depending on the location of the child restraint in your vehicle.

Follow the instructions

Take extra care to read all information about child safety in this manual and follow the instructions from the manufacturer of your child restraint. If you do not, the child could sustain serious injury in the event of an accident.

Child restraints and front passenger seat

Never use a child restraint in the front passenger seat. Polestar follows NHTSA's and Transport Canada's recommendations and recommends that all children up to and including 12 years of age sit in the rear seat. This is especially recommended for children in rearward-facing child restraints.
