Closing the hood
Take extra care to ensure that the hood completely closes after it has been opened.
Make sure nothing gets in the way of the hood as it closes.
Warning
Pinching and crushing hazard
Keep all hands away from the hood's closing path. Be extra cautious when children or pets are nearby.
From the fully opened position, simply pull the hood down by holding the outer edge.
Carefully lower the hood until it reaches the locking mechanism.
Press down with both hands on the front edge of the hood.
The hood noticeably locks into place.
Make sure there are no significant gaps or any indication that the hood is not completely closed.

Open hood warning
If you see an open hood warning in the instrument panel, open the hood and check for obstructions before closing it again. Contact Polestar Customer Support if the notification remains.
Warning
Do not drive with the hood open
Stop the vehicle immediately if there is any indication that the hood is not completely closed.
