Perceived and actual temperature
Your temperature perception is affected by more than just the actual temperature of the air around you. Knowing the difference between perceived and actual temperature can benefit your climate comfort experience.
Whether the air in your vehicle feels warm or cold depends not only on the air temperature but also several other factors, such as your own body temperature, airflow and humidity in the vehicle, and whether you're exposed to direct sunlight. When you adjust the temperature setting, the vehicle considers how some of these factors contribute to your perceived temperature. The vehicle then continuously adapts its climate functions to make the interior climate feel like the temperature you selected, regardless of any changing conditions. This means that the actual temperature in your vehicle may differ from the temperature you selected to give you a more consistent climate comfort experience.
